I am doing this all topsy-turvey in a random order after it's all finished.
In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.
I've been thinking about this since just_ann_now posted her goal. Mine is going to be the same: to comment on everything I read. The corollary being, if I get to the end of it and I like it.
I started doing this years ago, in LOTR fandom, when I was new to fanfic. I did largely keep it up (as far as I can remember) but AO3 made me lazy. If I like something, but can't think of anything to say, then I just click the kudos button. Or if I like it and can't be bothered to think of something to say then I just click the kudos button. I felt slightly guilty that I read most of the SGA Santa fics and just kudosed them all. And yet when it was all on LJ, I did comment to everything I read and liked, so it's not hard.
And Teaspoon doesn't help by not emailing you to tell you when the author replies and I don't always remember to go back and do that.
I've been doing it since just_ann_now posted it, in fact. I've already realised that I do need to think of something to say other than "I liked this" or words to that affect.
